Dr. Chris Whynott

Dr. Whynott graduated with academic honors from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. He has been practicing dentistry this entire century!

Dr. Whynott received advanced training in a 2-year General Practice Residency at the University of Virginia. His clinical focuses are primarily dental surgery including implants, bone grafting, tooth removal, LANAP periodontal surgery, and treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Dr. Whynott is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a graduate of The Misch International Implant Institute, a member of The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine as well as being a LANAP Certified Provider.

He can talk music, movies, and sports, but knows nothing about social media, just so you know…

Dr. Christine Owuor

Dr. Owuor came to us from Nairobi, Kenya. After high school, she migrated to the U.S. with her family and attended Mineral Area College in Farmington, MO. She pursued her dental degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, and graduated with honors in the top two percent of her class. She received her advanced training at UVa’s General Practice Residency program, where she met Dr. Christopher Whynott and Dr. Martin Hoard.

Dr. Owuor had training in all aspects of general dentistry, but her passion stems from giving people a reason to smile – Six Month Smiles, orthodontics, dentures, and veneers. After some bad dental experiences in her childhood, it is her desire to make all patients feel at ease in the dental chair, and she shares a particular empathy with those who suffer from dental phobias.

She is married with two beautiful children! She also likes to travel and entertain friends.

Dr. Paul Casey

Born and raised in Billings, Montana, Dr. Paul Casey received his BS in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Montana State University and went on to study dental medicine at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Denver. He then moved to Hawaii and completed a residency in general dentistry.

Dr. Casey has practiced in both public health clinics and private practices in Hawaii, Colorado, and Virginia. Having treated patients from all walks of life, he takes a conservative approach to dental treatment and always strives to put his patients first. Dr. Casey is a lifelong learned and loves continuing his education to stay on top of the latest science and technology in the dental field.

Outside of the dental office, Dr. Casey enjoys reading, traveling, and outdoor pursuits like snowboarding and SCUBA diving.

Dr. Andrew Horbaly

Dr. Horbaly, a Charlottesville native, grew up in Forest Lakes, graduated from Albemarle High School, and spent summers working as an orthodontic assistant for his father, Dr. William Horbaly.

In service to our great nation, Dr. Horbaly commissioned as a Dental Officer in the US Navy after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Having received advanced dental training at the Naval Station Norfolk AEGD, and awards for research on dental materials and Military Health System logistics, Lieutenant Horbaly was assigned as sole dental officer of Naval Branch Health Clinic Whiting Field in Milton, Florida. All our brave Navy pilots that keep the skies free and the ground safe earn their wings at Whiting Field and LT Horbaly proudly supported the Air Wing with coverage of all dental needs.

After completion of his Naval service in 2026, Dr. Horbaly began his civilian dental life back home in Charlottesville, married to his high school sweetheart Libby, now raising kids of their own.

Sara is a highly skilled and compassionate dental assistant with over 20 years of experience in the field, 17 years which have been with Greene Comprehensive Family Dentistry. Known for her extensive knowledge of dental procedures and patient care. Sara has built a reputation for being both efficient and personable. Her hands-on expertise ranges from preparing patients for treatments to assisting with complex dental surgeries, ensuring that each patient feels comfortable and well informed throughout their visit.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and going to their sporting events. She resides in Greene County with her husband and two children.

Gennie is a Greene County native and has been in the dentistry field for 19 years, 14 of those years right here at Greene Comprehensive Family Dentistry. She enjoys all aspects of assisting and making patients comfortable. She has a passion for fabricating CEREC restorations for all three doctors and has gone to extra training in fabricating same-day crowns to acquire the most knowledge she can and stay up to date with new technology.

Outside of work, she is a mother of two smart and amazing children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, movies, spending time with her children and family, and laughing with friends.

Samantha has been in the dental field for 17 years, she started with Greene Comprehensive Family Dentistry a little over a year ago. She brings a touch of humor and sparkle of brilliance to every patient she encounters. She has a contagious laugh and a heartwarming smile that helps make her patients feel at ease.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her energetic toddler, who keeps her on her toes, and her brave firefighter husband. She has a green thumb and a passion for plants, transforming her home into a lush, serene oasis. She enjoys savoring a glass of wine, unwinding after a day full of exciting activities, and cherishing moments with her family.

Tiffany is new to the dental field with two years of experience and more than a year of that experience at Greene Comprehensive Family Dentistry. She is a calm and gentle assistant with a soothing demeanor, which puts patients at ease, making every visit a pleasant experience.

Outside of work, she loves to travel, explore new places, and immerse herself in different cultures. She has a passion for fitness that keeps her motivated to hit the gym regularly, where she finds balance and energy.

Dawn is a dedicated dental hygienist who graduated from VCU with a bachelor degree of Science in Dental Hygiene. She takes great pride in her work and is committed to providing the best care for her patients. She’s passionate about staying current in her field, regularly taking classes to expand her knowledge and enhance the care she provides. Her patients can always count on her for both professionalism and compassion.

When she’s not working, she loves to explore new areas with her husband and son, Bishop. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a day trip, they enjoy discovering new places together as a family. In her free time, you’ll often find her cheering on her son at the soccer field, fully immersed in the excitement of his games. She also enjoys playing volleyball, photography, and spending time at Church with family.

Mary has been a dental hygienist for 25 years. She is passionate about her patients and treats everyone who walks through the door like a member of her family. Mary’s gentle touch and thorough care have earned her the admiration of countless patients over the years. With Mary’s extensive experience, heartfelt dedication and loving nature she is a cherished member of our dental team.

In her free time, Mary finds joy in tackling home projects, always adding a personal touch to her living space. She has two boys and adorable dogs that keep her busy and on her toes!

Nikki has been a dental hygienist with Greene Comprehensive Family Dentistry since 2017. She graduated from Germanna’s dental hygiene program in 2010 and before that, she received a BS in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech and an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Northern Virginia Community College.

She’s passionate about patient care, including their education to better their overall health. During her free time, Nikki enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and cats. She loves to read and is working on renovating her home.

Ashley is the dental office manager who brings energy, encouragement, and efficiency to every aspect of Greene Comprehensive Family Dentistry. Her fun-loving nature and positive attitude make her a joy to work with. Her dedication ensures the office runs like a well-oiled machine. Ashley has been in the dental field for 15 years; she has been a dental assistant before moving to an administrative position about 6 years ago.

Ashley moved to Greene County 12 years ago, where she lives with her Husband and two spirited boys. She enjoys any outdoor activities and taking trips off-roading with their UTV as a family.

Morgan is our spirited and funny dental receptionist who welcomes every patient with a smile and a joke. Her outgoing personality and quick wit make the waiting room a lively and enjoyable place. As a true team player, Morgan effortlessly coordinates appointments and assists her colleagues, ensuring the office runs smoothly.

Morgan and her fiancé reside in Madison County along with their dog Mimba. She treasures the moments she spends with her family and friends, filling her life with laughter and great memories.

Samantha is our dental receptionist with 17 years in the dental field. Several of those years here with Greene Comprehensive Family Dentistry. She has previously been a dental assistant before moving to the front desk 4 years ago. Samantha is dedicated to her position and is the friendly face at check-out, ensuring that patients have their next appointments scheduled and feel well-cared for. She always finds the perfect way to brighten someone’s day with a thoughtful gesture. Her obsession with the color pink adds a cheerful touch to the office, making it a bright and vibrant place.

Outside of work, she is a loving mother to her three beautiful girls, who keep her busy with their volleyball games and activities. She balances her professional and personal life with grace, bringing the same level of enthusiasm and care to both.
